Stolen life

100 words x 365 days

He loved her like she was a fragile piece of glass. Using only the slightest of touch, he awoke her heart, never whispering the truths of his own. A broken heart stole his soul, sending him on a path of destruction. With each person he touched, his darkness faded, but inside of them, his pain resides. Selfish love, the cruelest of all, he took away a part of them with each love he confessed, shattering that fragile glass each time he walked away. Love is not free. It comes with a price. He’ll take your dignity with him every time.
