She stood watching out the mirrored glass. As the plane pulled back, her smile softened. Her son was leaving today, and she was alone again. She held his hand as he took his first steps, her chatter of approval coming in a swarm of laughter. His first day at school, she waited all day in the car for him, and now, she was sending away a man who was once her little boy. As the tears rolled down her cheeks, she held tight to his first Teddy bear. It was time to say goodbye to the boy who was now a man.
