Let it rain

100 days x 365 words.

As the skies opened to allow the heavens to weep, the droplets pelted her skin in an acidic downpour of pain. Eyes closed, she tilted her head back, welcoming in the ghost of every person who walked away. The cold fluid burning her flesh, her tears warmed her soul as she let go of the rage that built deep inside of her heart. If God could speak, what would he say? Wash them away with the floods and allow yourself to heal. Each scar I place upon your flesh will be a gentle reminder that the path you took was one of peace.
