Some find comfort in the pursuit of love, wealth, and social standards. I am a dealer of words. The creation of stories that pour from my veins is the only high I seek. He traced his fingers over her soul, her heart pleading for relief. The ache inside of her core ravishing her with tiny carvings of their memories into her velvet walls. She pleaded for mercy, but he would never allow the heat to dim, knowing the more she needs, the deeper she falls. A finger to beacon, the kitten will always follow, her lips parched for another drink of his sweet cream. Come little kitten, don’t fear the unknown. A pretty little puppet, placed in a cage, no strings to bind, but the emotional walls held her tight. He fed her lies, each one more devious than the last, addicting her with his malicious drugs. As constricting as ropes, his words pulling her to the brink of destruction as he tied the noose around her neck. As her soul grew dangerously obese, he laughed with the shriek of the carnival barker calling forth the crowds. “Look at what happens when you overindulge. As she watched from the sidelines of life, her heart tugged each time he walked by. There goes my world. That man right there was the one who slew all my fears with a single word. Love. He loved me with his whole being, and I destroyed him with one lie. As the city floods again from the salty tears that fall from my eyes, I know the rainy season is upon us.
